Training Programs
At State Street, we offer several dynamic training programs for entry-level candidates. These paid training programs, which range in length from 3 - 6 1/2 weeks, are a combination of traditional classroom instruction and “Day in the Life” job simulation. If selected, you'll attend classes at our on-site training facility, the State Street Institute, which is located in our North Quincy complex. You'll learn the fundamentals necessary to be successful in one of our entry-level positions while becoming familiar with the innovative technology in place at State Street. Upon completion of a program, you'll have the opportunity to work in one of a variety of exciting business environments. You'll learn and gain confidence in the skills you will need on the job and be able to make an immediate contribution as soon as you are placed.

ENTRY-LEVEL TRAINING PROGRAMS
SECURITIES SPECIALIST
This comprehensive 3-week, paid EXPLORER Training Program provides you with an overview of our core custody groups. You will quickly master the responsibilities in any of our departments within Securities Operations - US/International Operations.

MUTUAL FUND ACCOUNTANT
Our 6 1/2 week, paid GLOBAL LAUNCH Training Program prepares you to monitor cash and security transactions on the general ledger accounts, perform the valuation of securities and calculate the net asset value on a set of mutual funds. International opportunities are available after a minimum of 18 months' experience.

PORTFOLIO ACCOUNTANT
Participate in our 4 1/2 week, paid EDGE Training Program and learn the fundamentals of portfolio accounting. Manage a book of accounts for one or more pension funds and prepare various financial reports, cash journals and trial balances, while researching and resolving accounting inquiries and delivering exceptional client service.

MUTUAL FUND SPECIALIST PROGRAM - NJ
Our 13-week, paid training program begins in a classroom setting with LAUNCH where you will be introduced to mutual fund accounting and administration. Next, you will move to your desk in our New Hire Unit which is designed to train you and others on the daily operations of mutual funds. You will receive your first mutual fund and be required to calculate the net asset value each day. Throughout the 13 weeks, you will attend classes and be tested on the material learned. Weekly feedback will be delivered by your supervisor to ensure your comprehension of the material. Preferred qualifications include:
*BS in Accounting or Finance with 6-12 accounting credits
*BA in Economics with 6-12 accounting credits
*Minimum 3.0 GPA
*Proficient in PC applications, especially MicroSoft Excel
*Superior organizational and communication skills
*Able to meet daily deadlines
*Desire to work in a team environment
