New Directions: Flexible Benefits Program (full-time employees)
State Street provides our employees and their dependent family members with a flexible benefits program. Dependent family members include: an employee's Spouse or Domestic Partner or an Other Adult Dependent, along with any dependent children of the employee, the employee's Spouse or the employee's Domestic Partner.

Our employees are able to customize a benefits package based on their individual needs and preferences. Our flexible benefits program is designed to let employees make significant benefit choices and take advantage of available tax savings. Features of the flexible benefits program include medical insurance, life insurance, long term disability, dental insurance, family life, AD & D (Accidental Death and Dismemberment), flexible spending accounts, and the purchase and sale of vacation days.

Salary Savings Program: SSP-Wave of the Future
Whether an employee is just starting or nearing the end of his/her career, State Street wants to help our employees chart their course for a financially stable retirement. Saving through the Salary Savings Program (SSP) helps employees to build an account balance and gain immediate tax deferral — and State Street matches a portion of what employees save once eligible. Employees direct how their account balance, including corporate monthly matching contributions, is to be invested among their selection of SSP funds. The funds offer a range of investment opportunity and risk — and employees can change their investments as often as once per month.

Retirement Plan
The State Street Retirement Plan (Plan) is designed to provide retirement income for eligible employees. State Street Corporation sponsors the entire cost of the Plan. As a participant the employee becomes vested in his/her account after he/she completes five or more years of service.
