| The trade processing systems team seeks a full-time development manager to support the Trade Management Systems (TMS) development group. This will require management of full-time development resources, analysts as well as offshore developers. Monitor the TMS system during peak business volumes and quickly react to business needs while coordinating with technical staff to resolve technical issues. Support future enhancements of the TMS application by working with analysts to understand business requirements and complete development of business functionality according to State Street’s published Development Process Framework. Finally, we are looking for someone with an aptitude for learning new things and the ability to handle production support and communication with clients in a professional manager under sometimes stressful conditions. Experience with trade management processing and the securities industry would be beneficial. We seek a technical development manager with strengths in the following areas: team player with strong communication skills; management experience in a technical department; understanding of the development process; ability to understand business requirements and create technical specifications for developers; experience with testing large-scale software applications in a production environment; good multitasking skills, project management experience and presentation skills. Technical skills: C++, Microsoft COM architecture, Queues, , SQL Server and/or Sybase experience, Stored procedures. UNIX experience and Java development a plus. |
